Spring Term Dig it Day 2019

The sun shone, although it was a little chilly as we dug, planted and spring cleaned the school grounds.

World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day with a family reading breakfast and costumes of characters from books made into films (as suggested by the School Council). Each class has a winner for the best home made costume. This year each class also made a 'book in a box'.

Shrove Tuesday-Pancake Day

Class 2 led our Collective Worship to help us understand the season of Lent.

We all ate pancakes at the end!

Chinese New Year 2019

The Year of the Pig

We have been having fun looking at Chinese New Year and how people celebrate. We decided to make our own dragons and recreate some dragon dances to music. We also had a Chinese banquet together, enjoying prawn crackers, noodles and sauce.

Christmas Worship Workshop Assembly

We gathered together on the last morning of term to reflect upon the values of peace, joy and love in the Christmas story.

Our Christmas Play

Coffee and Carols 2018

Friends from the local community and North Ferriby Ladies Choir  joined us for our annual event of singing festive songs to start the Christmas season with much good cheer. FOS kindly organised refreshments and ran stalls selling Christmas goods.

Maths Christmas Showcase

The whole school took part in this term's maths showcase to use problem solving skills to make the hall Christmas decorations. In Class 1 and Nursery the focus was shape and in class 2 and 3 the focus was measuring length. In addition older and younger children worked collaboratively to make cards for the community.

Children in Need Ramble 2018

This year the whole school rambled around the playing fields for Children in Need. Then back to school for a well earned drink and biscuit! We raised £64.50. Thank you for your donations.
