Together We Can...

2025-2026

Whole School Card Making - March 2026

We gathered together in the hall to make our Easter cards, with a bunny and egg design this year. It is always lovely to see all the children working together, with the older children helping the younger children, with some fantastic finished designs.

Community Card Delivery

Today we visited the community, delivering our Easter cards and then going on to sing our Easter songs to the Manor House residents.

A Special Visitor

The children were very excited when our special visitor arrived on the playground. He got up to some mischief, throwing carrots around our playground and climbing on the benches, but he did leave us some yummy chocolate eggs too.

Our Easter Service - March 2026

The chicks were all sat ready for the Easter service to begin. We welcomed parents, grandparents and carers to the church for our Easter service. Reverend Tim was there to welcome us all and we enjoyed sharing songs, prayers and poems as we thought about the meaning of Easter together.

World Down Syndrome Day

Today we all wore our odd socks as part of ‘World Down Syndrome Day’, to celebrate the lives of people with Down Syndrome and to make sure there are the same freedoms and opportunities for everyone.

Comic Relief - March 2026

Following an assembly where we learnt about some of the great causes supported by Comic Relief, we made our own sporting effort to join in. We played some team games and like Radio One DJ, Greg James, we took to our bikes to see how far we could travel, our longest ride. It was quite a distance and we had lots of fun along the way! This was all done in our pyjamas too!

World Book Day Winners 2026

We saw some amazing outfits for our World Book Day this year, but we did manage to pick a few winners. Each received a book voucher to spend on their next book to read and enjoy. Well done, we especially liked all the homemade accessories.

World Book Day - March 2026

The children (and teachers) all dressed as their favourite book characters for school today. Everyone was so creative with their costumes and we loved all the homemade props too. We started the day with a reading breakfast, welcoming parents, carers and grandparents into school to enjoy some books. We then spent the rest of the day sharing a love of reading, writing about our characters, exchanging book reviews and finally the older children reading stories to the youngest children in school. What a lovely day!

Straw and Order - December 2025

We all took to the stage (after lots of hard work) for this year’s Christmas extravaganza, Straw and Order. The children were all amazing, remembering their lines and singing their hearts out. Thank you to all our lovely audiences for the support and encouragement along the way.

Community Coffee and Carols - December 2025

We couldn’t believe it was that time of year again! We set to, decorating the hall ready to welcome the community into school for coffee and carols and our Christmas play. We worked together to make the full nativity scene, put up the Christmas tree and decorations and practised with the ladies community choir. It was lovely to see so many people from the village joining us at school for all the festivities.

Snow Fun! - November 2025

The children (and teachers!) were very excited to see the snow today, giving us all the chance to head outside to make snowmen, snow angels  and have a go on the sledge. What an exciting morning!

Children In Need 2025 - November 2025

This year we were challenged to do 25 of something to help raise money for Children in Need, so Mrs Church set to thinking up 25 challenges for us. We tackled them with lots of enthusiasm and completed them with lots of red faces! The older children helped the younger children and were brilliant role models, making for an enjoyable successful fundraising morning.

Remembrance Day - November 2025

Class three spent time preparing a thoughtful assembly for the rest of the school. They helped us to reflect on the meaning of the day using stories, songs and prayers. Later, they visited the village hall to share the assembly at the community coffee morning.

Community Coffee Morning - October 2025

Today our youngest and oldest children visited the village hall to join in their coffee morning. We sang our harvest songs and shared our harvest poems with everyone whilst they enjoyed their coffee and cakes. It was lovely to be out in our community.
