Clubs and Activities
There are a number of clubs that children can attend after school and during lunchtimes.
Fit for Fun organise two sports clubs, one for Y1, Y2 and Y3 on a Tuesday night and one for Y4, 5 and 6, on a Wednesday night. Sometimes these clubs are free to attend (we use some of our Sports Premium money to meet the cost) and some have a cost of £2.00 per session payable on a half termly basis. These clubs are always very popular and the children enjoy the range of sports on offer. The children have enjoyed taking part in multi skills (practising different sporting skills), boxercise, street dance, football, hockey, badminton and many more.
Children in Class 3 also organise clubs for the younger children at lunchtimes. These usually run for four weeks. We have had a number of different clubs including craft club, mask making, biscuit decorating, tag rugby and drama club.
A drama club runs after school for pupils in Class Two and Class Three during the Summer Term. The children take part in a range of drama based activities including singing, movement and speaking based exercises. These activities work towards an end of term performance for everybody to come and see!
- Mrs Atkinson is also running a cooking club on a Monday night. This will be offered in turn to all the children in Class Two and Class Three. They will take part in four sessions, learning to prepare and cook a range of dishes (the chocolate tiffin is often the most popular!).
